Entrepreneur et maker

Ignasi CAPDEVILA

Since the early 2000s, the maker movement has grown at the global level. The maker movement is based on hacking, exploratory and craft activities. "Makers" are individuals who develop their own innovative projects through prototyping, recycling, assembling and manipulating objects (Anderson 2012). Their practices normally have a strong technological component, with a focus on, for example, robotics, electronics, computers, biotechnology, etc. The term "maker" is used to name an individual who focuses on the implementation of his project based on iteration, trial-error and rapid prototyping, either with tangible results (innovative object) or intangible (like an app for smart phones).
