Economic policy uncertainty and carbon emissions: Do CSR committee and CSR reporting matter?

This study explores the relationship between Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) and corporate carbon emissions around the world. We find a significant negative association, where a 1 % increase in EPU is associated with a reduction in carbon emissions ranging from 0.14 % to 0.30 %.

Fear of fairness in courts: The impact of liberal judge ideology on corporate carbon emissions

We document that firms under the jurisdiction of circuit courts with predominantly liberal judges significantly reduce their carbon footprints. This is likely due to liberal judges' stricter enforcement of environmental regulations and their propensity to impose hefty penalties for violations.
